Researchers at the Institute of Biology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences (IB, MAS) are examining the roles of soil microbial community and functional diversity in soil health across various climate backgrounds in Mongolia. We utilize a high-throughput amplicon sequencing approach that eliminate the need for isolating and culturing individual microbial strains. The sequencing data are analyzed using the amplicon sequencing data processing pipeline developed by Dr. Ye-Deng’s group at Research Center for Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
